This 4-way electromagnetic valve is used in steam showers to control water flow to the upper body jets, middle body jets, lower body jets, and the overhead rain shower.
If one of these functions stops working, it is usually due to the failure of an individual solenoid block within the 4-way assembly. While it is standard practice to replace the tap assembly, it is also possible to replace a solenoid valve if required. In some cases, failure may be caused by water ingress affecting the electrical solenoid.
An electromagnetic valve, or solenoid, functions as an electrically operated switch, allowing individual water features to be turned on or off via a control panel. The valve operates on 12V DC power supply, and each solenoid has a 2 wire electrical connection.
